Sarvam AI, which builds Indian-language models and software for voice agents, document processing and workplace tasks, is in talks to raise $250 million to $300 million at a $3 billion valuation, ET Enterprise AI reported, citing The Economic Times. The financing hasn’t closed. Sarvam serves Indian enterprises and government agencies.

Sarvam exposes speech recognition, speech synthesis, translation, chat and document extraction through APIs. Its voice-agent product packages those models with phone and chat connections, testing, outbound campaigns and analytics. A business can configure an agent, attach a phone number or telephony provider, test calls, launch conversations and review logs without assembling each layer separately.

The company pitches that stack for Indian languages, accents and code-mixed speech. Sarvam says it self-hosts the voice-agent models and keeps customer data in India. It sells self-service voice use on a prepaid, per-minute basis, while enterprise customers buy postpaid committed volume. ET named LIC, SBI Life, IDFC First Bank, Tata Capital and Cred as clients.

The proposed valuation stands out because Sarvam announced its last financing on June 15. It had raised $234 million in the first close of a planned $300 million Series B at a $1.5 billion post-money valuation, with HCLTech and Bessemer investing alongside Khosla Ventures and Peak XV. A new transaction at the reported terms would double that valuation in roughly four months.

Sarvam’s June announcement claimed more than 2 million conversations and 10 million API calls each day, plus deployments digitizing more than 35 million pages. Those figures remain company-reported. The ET report did not identify prospective investors in the new round, specify whether the $3 billion valuation is pre-money or post-money, or say when the talks might conclude.
