Gotham FC announced a $100 million capital raise led by the Moelis family on November 6, backing players and infrastructure as the women’s soccer club prepares to move home matches to Queens in 2028.
The National Women’s Soccer League club has already begun selling access to its future home. Gotham launched suite sales on October 21 and reported that more than 5,000 new fans had made ticket deposits for its first Queens season. Supporter and general admission seating sales are scheduled for spring 2027.
Under the clubs’ July agreement, Gotham will play at New York City FC’s 25,000-seat Etihad Park. Plans include Gotham merchandise space in the stadium store and digital signage for the club’s commercial partners, giving it places to sell products and sponsorships alongside match tickets.
The round brings seven new minority investors into the club led by owner Carolyn Tisch Blodgett. Her Next 3 Ventures and the Tisch family also invested, alongside existing backer Jennifer Mackesy.
Gotham’s first dedicated training facility is planned for Whippany, New Jersey. Its June announcement set a summer 2027 completion target for a 27,000-square-foot performance center at the former Red Bull New York training site.
