Pliant raised an $80 million Series C to expand its corporate payments business in the United States and Canada, following its July US launch through sponsor bank Coastal. The Berlin fintech announced the financing on November 4.
Pliant provides corporate cards and spending controls to businesses, while banks and software companies can embed its card infrastructure in products carrying their own brands. In July, Pliant said it served more than 5,000 businesses and had surpassed $100 million in annual recurring revenue.
Seaya Nova and Speedinvest led the round, with Illuminate Financial, Motive Partners and Molten Ventures participating. The financing is twice the $40 million Series B Pliant announced in April 2025 for its planned US expansion.
Pliant also plans to spend part of the new capital expanding access for AI agents. The company says assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can connect to its payment systems, with access permissions, transaction controls and audit records built into the infrastructure.
In travel, Pliant partnered with S4BT’s Trevium in July on hotel payments. Pliant executes payments while Trevium adds booking, invoice and tax information before billing starts. The companies designed the system to reduce the manual work finance teams face when records arrive incomplete.
