Casap announced a $56 million Series B on October 28 as it expands its AI software from payment disputes into collections, claims and other financial operations. Base10 Partners led the round, with Experian and Synchrony joining as strategic investors.
Casap helps banks, credit unions and fintechs investigate disputed payments, including false claims from customers about purchases they made themselves. Its agents collect evidence, file chargebacks and update customers, while staff handle decisions requiring human judgment.
An August 2025 investment memo from Emergence Capital described banks automatically approving smaller claims under pressure from regulatory deadlines. Casap now says its agents resolve 73% of dispute cases with human oversight, cutting staff processing time per case from 45 minutes to one or two.
The Series B is more than twice the size of Casap’s $25 million Series A, announced on August 7, 2025 and led by Emergence. Casap says revenue has grown tenfold since that financing and that it now serves more than 100 banks, credit unions, fintechs and payment processors.
Experian is exploring fraud signals with Casap to help distinguish genuine fraud from customer misuse, according to the release. Emergence says Synchrony is working with Casap to extend agents into more of the bank.
