Conveo helps companies ask consumers why they buy, what confuses them and how they react to a product. Its software conducts video and voice interviews with an AI moderator, then turns the conversations into material that research, marketing and product teams can use. The company announced a $50 million Series A on September 2 to expand in the United States and broaden that service.
The workflow replaces the need to schedule every participant with a human interviewer. Investor Pitchdrive describes consumers joining through invitations, links or research panels and completing conversations at their convenience. The moderator can respond to an answer with another question. Analysis then groups themes and extracts supporting remarks, preserving a connection between a conclusion and what a participant actually said.
For a product team, one use case is testing a proposed package before committing to production: show it to consumers, collect their reactions and investigate what they understood. Conveo's product site also describes brand research, advertising tests and studies of customer journeys. The underlying product is research software for businesses, not a consumer chatbot that answers general questions. Its outputs are meant to inform a decision about an offering or market.
Conveo is also building around repeated research rather than treating each study as an isolated file. Its product materials describe ongoing programs alongside focused studies, with findings accumulating in a shared knowledge layer. Teams can ask questions of earlier research and create reports from it. The business significance is continuity: a new product question can build on previous interviews instead of requiring a team to restart its understanding of customers.
Balderton's announcement names DST Global Partners, Balderton, Visionaries, 6 Degrees Capital and Y Combinator as investors, and puts cumulative funding at $55.8 million. The investor says more than 400 enterprises use Conveo, including Google, Unilever, AB InBev and Canva; those adoption figures are attributed claims, not an audited revenue measure. Pitchdrive, an early backer investing again, identifies Dieter De Mesmaeker and Hendrik Van Hove as the founders.
Captables' read: Conveo is trying to turn faster interviewing into an ongoing place in enterprise decision-making. The funding supports that expansion, but a larger volume of conversations is only useful if the questions, participants and interpretation produce reliable insight. The important test is whether teams return to the accumulated research when making real product and marketing choices, rather than using the software for occasional experiments.
