Galgo secured an approximately $56 million credit line from BBVA Spark to expand the pool of money behind motorcycle loans in Mexico, where the lender says it finances more than 3,500 bikes a month. The companies announced the agreement on September 28. Figures are in US dollars, converted at September 28, 2026 reference rates.
Rather than general-purpose equity, the facility is debt intended to finance more motorcycles and enlarge Galgo’s Mexican credit portfolio. Shoppers can begin through Galgo’s digital platform or at a partner store, apply for financing and collect an approved motorcycle from the dealer. Galgo has financed more than 40,000 people in Mexico since entering the country in 2022, according to BBVA.
The company targets independent workers and delivery riders, including customers with limited access to conventional bank credit. BBVA cited a 60 Decibels survey of Galgo customers in which more than 80% said they previously lacked access to similar financing.
That customer niche is also behind a separate Mexican program with Uber. Galgo’s published terms say approved drivers and couriers repay weekly, with Uber deducting installments from earnings and discounts available based on completed trips or active work time. BBVA’s announcement does not say the new facility is reserved for those Uber loans.
Across Mexico, Colombia and Chile, Galgo says it finances about 7,500 motorcycles a month and has extended credit to more than 200,000 people. Mexico therefore accounts for close to half of its disclosed monthly motorcycle-financing volume. BBVA did not disclose the credit line’s pricing, maturity, collateral requirements or draw schedule.
