Guoce Quantum has raised more than about $74.5 million in a Series B to expand manufacturing, PE Daily reported on November 3. The atomic-clock maker is working to improve consistency across large production batches at its Huzhou factory.

CICC Capital and Zhecai Innovation co-led the round, which put the company’s valuation above roughly $745 million. The financing will support additional production capacity, automated manufacturing upgrades, supply-chain development and new products, according to PE Daily. Figures are in US dollars, converted at November 3, 2026 reference rates.

Based in Huzhou and established with technology from Peking University, Guoce makes compact atomic clocks and timing equipment for telecom networks and other infrastructure. Its T45 clock gives communications terminals a local time reference when satellite signals or timing links are unavailable, according to the company’s product description.

Telecom base stations were Guoce’s first market, general manager Li Qifei told China Securities Journal in an October 17 interview. He said the Huzhou factory’s first phase, with annual capacity of 100,000 clocks, began production in October 2025 and was being optimized. A planned second phase would increase annual capacity to 500,000.

The new round follows a July 16 Pre-B announcement backed by two funds managed by a subsidiary of Huzhou’s local state-owned investment platform. Guoce said that strategic financing was intended to strengthen cooperation with local state capital on production and industry applications.

Guoce describes its chip-scale atomic clocks as fully domestically manufactured. Li’s October interview added a qualification: some upstream materials still carried indirect reliance on imports, and domestic alternatives for certain components needed improvement. Producing consistent quality across large batches remained a challenge, he said.
