HiBob announced a $166 million investment led by Salesforce, with Farallon Capital Management also participating. The company published the announcement on September 1 and said the financing would support its expansion from a human-resources platform into what it calls an organizational-intelligence layer for businesses using AI agents.

CTech reported that the financing is the largest in HiBob's history and values the company at approximately $3.2 billion. The publication said Salesforce supplied the vast majority of the capital and that the round contained no significant secondary component, citing HiBob co-founder and chief executive Ronni Zehavi.

HiBob says its Bob platform connects HR, payroll and finance data for more than 5,500 customers across over 170 countries. Its investment thesis is that AI systems operating inside companies will need verified context about employees, teams, permissions, skills and reporting structures—not only access to general-purpose models.

The round gives Salesforce a financial interest in a data layer that can make Slack and other workplace agents more useful. HiBob already has an integration with Slack, and the company says it intends to make workforce context available across agents, workflows and other business systems rather than confining it to a traditional HR application.

For private-market participants, the financing establishes a new reported valuation benchmark but does not provide a complete cap-table update. Public disclosures do not include the share price, fully diluted share count, security terms, investor ownership percentages or liquidation preferences. Captables therefore records the announced $166 million financing while treating the approximately $3.2 billion valuation as reported rather than independently verified.
