Isomorphic Labs is in talks to raise about $5 billion at a roughly $50 billion valuation as it works toward its first human drug trials, The Next Web reported, citing Bloomberg. The financing has not closed and its terms could change.

The proposed raise would be more than twice the $2.1 billion Series B Isomorphic announced on May 12, led by Thrive Capital with Alphabet among the investors. Bloomberg had already reported a potential valuation of up to $50 billion in October; the new report specifies how much Isomorphic is seeking.

The DeepMind spinout designs experimental medicines for pharmaceutical partners and its own pipeline. Researchers select molecules proposed by its AI to make and test in a laboratory. Agreements with Eli Lilly and Novartis combine upfront fees with potential milestone payments and royalties on future drug sales.

President Max Jaderberg said at Bloomberg’s London conference on November 2 that Isomorphic’s work was still preclinical. In January 2026, chief executive Demis Hassabis set a year-end target for its first human trials, Reuters reported, pushing back his earlier goal of end-2025.
