Sand.ai announced a $200 million Series A+ on November 5, adding capital to a video-generation business whose first-half losses far exceeded sales. The deal values the company above $1 billion and was co-led by CoStone Capital and Wangsu Science & Technology, DealStreetAsia reported.

Wangsu’s September 29 stock-exchange filing disclosed unaudited consolidated revenue of about $2.56 million and a net loss of roughly $22.3 million for Sand.ai in the first six months of 2026. Figures are in US dollars, converted at June 30, 2026 reference rates.

Sand.ai develops video-generation models and a paid creation service for creators, VidMuse. VidMuse uses musical structure to organize visuals for music videos and also offers tools for product ads and anime. Subscriptions include generation credits, users can buy additional credits separately, and paid plans include commercial-use rights.

The company separately says VidMuse exceeded an annual recurring revenue pace of $10 million within two months of launch.

Sand.ai had disclosed more than $100 million across two earlier financings in June, according to 36Kr’s June 22 report. Backers of those rounds included IDG Capital and Baidu Ventures.

DealStreetAsia reported that the proceeds will fund model research, computing infrastructure, product development and international expansion. A full MAGI-2 release is planned in the near term, following the open-source preview Sand.ai released in August.
