Lightship is reportedly seeking $50 million in Series C funding to expand production of its electric RVs and mobile power systems. Axios’s November 2 report cited chief commercial officer Ben Parker.

The company is turning technology developed for its AE.1 camper into a second business supplying commercial power trailers. Both products use batteries and motors to assist towing, then provide electricity when parked.

The fundraising follows a $30 million extension of its 2024 Series B, reported by BusinessDen in April 2026. CEO Toby Kraus told the outlet that the money would fund only part of the factory’s production ramp. He also outlined plans to expand the Broomfield, Colorado, plant from 32,000 to 76,000 square feet by year-end.

Kraus described the strategy to Latitude Media in May: start with high-end RVs and adapt the resulting technology for other uses. He acknowledged that a shared platform could be less tailored to individual applications.

Lightship said in its May 27 PowerSled announcement that it had begun deliveries to agricultural drone maker Exedy Drones. Exedy planned to use the trailers to charge drones and support crop monitoring and spraying in the field.
