Maven Robotics has raised a $100 million Series A to automate industrial work, starting with a deceptively ordinary warehouse problem: putting the right assortment of boxes onto a pallet. Its customers are manufacturers and logistics operators that need to move products through a facility and prepare shipments, not consumers shopping for a household robot.

A store rarely needs an entire pallet of just one product. Boxes arriving from different factories must be combined into an assortment for that location. Maven connects its robots to the warehouse-management system so that software instructions can become a physical shipment ready for a truck. In a demonstration described by TechCrunch, a robot used vacuum grippers to pick up and position boxes; the company also showed machines operating remotely at a customer's site.

Maven designs the robot hardware, control software and AI together. Its machines use wheeled bases and arms, combining movement around a facility with the ability to handle products. The company describes a system that coordinates individual robots, fleets and factory operations. That integration is central to the product: a capable arm is only useful if it can fit into the flow of work around it.

The initial tasks are mixed-case palletizing and tote handling. Maven says it has robot fleets working multiple shifts for an unnamed Fortune 250 consumer-goods company, and plans to extend the system to more demanding material handling and assembly. It is targeting 100,000 autonomous operating hours by the end of 2026 and one million by the end of 2027. Those are company goals, not operating milestones already reached.

RoboStrategy led the financing, with LocalGlobe, Vine Ventures and XTX Ventures among the investors named in Maven's September 10 announcement. Brothers Hamza and Khalid Derbas founded the company in 2024. The capital gives the startup room to expand its industrial deployments while developing the hardware and software for additional tasks; no valuation was disclosed in the announcement.

The commercial test is repeatability. A customer buying warehouse automation needs the same shipment to come together correctly throughout a shift, including when product sizes and orders change. Maven's route toward broader robotics therefore runs through a narrow, measurable job first: handling the assortment that a real distribution operation needs, without making the surrounding process less dependable.
