Humble Robotics raised a $51 million Series A for customer pilots and early manufacturing, before its cabless electric trucks have carried commercial freight. Obvious Ventures led the round, announced November 5, with existing investors Eclipse and Energy Impact Partners participating.
Humble is developing the truck and its driving software together for regional trips between ports, warehouses and loading docks. Its planned freight service includes charging and round-the-clock remote support. The company lists a maximum range of 200 miles and describes taking containers from a port to a nearby warehouse as one intended use.
The round is more than twice the $24 million seed financing Humble disclosed when it emerged from stealth on April 21. The latest investment brings total funding to $75 million.
The first customer pilots will use conventional trucks to gather route data, founder and chief executive Eyal Cohen told Business Insider. Humble will then simulate those routes before deploying its own vehicle.
Cohen expects customer pilots to begin in the first quarter of 2027 and commercial operations in the third quarter, according to Business Insider.
