Nature Select reportedly completed a Series A+ backed by Qiming Venture Partners and 5Y Capital, taking cumulative funding above $100 million as it prepares an Elys revamp, LatePost reported on November 4. The round’s standalone size was not disclosed.

Elys users create avatars that post and interact for them, then decide whether to pursue conversations themselves. The invitation-only app had peaked at 100,000 daily active users, according to LatePost.

An earlier financing brought in more than $30 million, investor Kingnet Network announced on January 20. Alibaba and Ant Group participated in that round, which was also documented by law firm Gunderson Dettmer in February.

Nature Select also develops EVE, a 3D companion app. Kingnet’s annual report, published in April, describes virtual characters supported by Nature Select’s own dialogue and memory models, designed to sustain relationships across conversations.

The planned Elys assistant could remember a hiring discussion and respond to a suitable job seeker’s post with a recruitment email address, according to LatePost.
